Advil Cold & Sinus tablets each contain 200 mg of ibuprofen and 30 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride; pack of 20 tablets. A pain reliever, fever reducer and nasal decongestant.
Indications
- Temporary relief of cold or flu symptoms: headache, fever, sinus pressure, nasal congestion and minor body aches.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not exceed the dose in the leaflet. Use the lowest effective dose.
- Do not use in children under 12.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- A previous allergy to any pain reliever or fever reducer, or immediately before or after heart surgery.
- Current monoamine oxidase inhibitor use, or within two weeks of stopping it.
Warnings & Precautions
- May cause severe allergic reactions, particularly in those allergic to aspirin. Consult your doctor or pharmacist before combining with any other decongestant-containing product or other medicine.
- Stomach-bleeding risk increases after age 60, with a history of ulcers, or with blood thinners or steroids.
- Increases heart-attack and stroke risk, particularly when exceeding the dose or duration.
- Consult your doctor first if you have high blood pressure, heart, kidney or thyroid disease, liver cirrhosis, asthma, diabetes or an enlarged prostate.
- Stop and consult your doctor if fever lasts more than 3 days or congestion more than 7 days.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a professional. Do not use in the last three months of pregnancy except under a doctor's direction.
Common Side Effects
- Stop and seek medical help if hives, facial swelling, vomiting blood, black stools or chest pain occurs.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
