Avogain (AVOGAIN) is a scalp solution containing minoxidil 2%, in a 50 ml bottle with spray applicator. Used to treat hereditary hair loss in women aged 18 to 65.
Indications
- Hereditary hair loss in women, reducing loss and helping regrowth.
- More effective for thinning at the top of the scalp.
How to Use
- Women aged 18 to 65: apply 1 ml (6 sprays) to the affected area of completely dry scalp twice daily.
- Leave at least 12 hours between applications. Do not exceed 2 ml daily.
- At least 4 months may be needed for new growth. Stop if there is no improvement after one year.
- Apply to the scalp only.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or age under 18 or over 65.
- Allergy to minoxidil, ethanol or propylene glycol.
- Sudden hair loss or loss of unknown cause.
- High blood pressure, even untreated.
- Scalp conditions such as psoriasis and sunburn.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor for heart disease or if taking vasodilators such as hydralazine.
- Stop and tell a doctor for a rapid heartbeat, dizziness or swelling of hands and feet.
- Flammable. Causes burning if it contacts the eyes.
- Accidental swallowing may cause serious heart problems.
Common Side Effects
- Headache, itching and excessive hair growth.
- Temporary shedding may occur in the first 2 to 6 weeks. If it persists for more than two weeks, stop and consult a doctor.
- Stop and seek help immediately for chest pain or swelling of the face or throat.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
