BD Micro-Fine Plus insulin pen needles are 4 mm long with a 0.23 mm diameter (32G). They attach to an injection pen to give insulin or other pen medicines under the skin. The pack contains 100 sterile, single-use needles.
Key Features
- A 4 mm length is designed to reach the fatty layer beneath the skin while reducing the likelihood of intramuscular injection when correct technique is followed.
- A fine 32G (0.23 mm) diameter helps make injection more comfortable.
- The five-bevel PentaPoint tip, as printed on the pack, is designed for smooth skin penetration.
- Each needle is sterile, individually sealed with protective paper, and has outer and inner caps.
- A pack of 100 needles allows a new needle for every injection.
How to Use
- Wash your hands and clean the pen's rubber membrane with an alcohol swab.
- Remove the protective paper from a new needle, then attach straight onto the pen until secure.
- Remove and keep the outer cap, then remove and discard the inner cap.
- Prepare the pen and set the dose according to the doctor's instructions and pen manual.
- Insert the needle at a right angle to the skin and press the injection button. Keep in place for a few seconds before withdrawing, as shown in the pen manual.
- Replace the outer cap, unscrew the needle and dispose of in a sharps container.
Who Is It For?
