Bepanthen Plus (BEPANTHEN PLUS) is a topical cream containing dexpanthenol 50 mg and chlorhexidine dihydrochloride 5 mg per gram, in one 30 g tube. Combines dexpanthenol supporting skin regeneration with chlorhexidine, a bacteria-killing antiseptic.
Indications
- Minor wounds at risk of infection, such as abrasions, small cuts, scratches and cracks.
- Minor burns, small ulcers and infected skin irritation.
- Cracked nipples during breastfeeding.
How to Use
- Apply to the cleaned wound or inflamed skin once or more daily as needed, without applying over large areas.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to any ingredient. Stop immediately if an allergic reaction occurs.
- Serious, deep or heavily contaminated wounds.
- Inside the ear if the eardrum is perforated.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor if the wound has not healed after 10 to 14 days, inflammation worsens, it suddenly enlarges or fever occurs.
- Keep out of the eyes and do not swallow. Wash the eye immediately with water if contact occurs.
- Do not use with other antiseptics.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: may be used while avoiding large skin areas. Wash off nipples before feeding.
Common Side Effects
- Rarely: allergic skin reactions and a burning sensation after application.
- Stop using and consult a doctor immediately for a severe allergy such as difficulty breathing or facial swelling.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
