Flamingo Anklet XL is an elastic ankle support made from stretchable knitted fabric. Worn around the ankle joint, it provides light support and even compression to help stabilise the ankle and reduce discomfort while walking and during daily activities. XL is for larger ankles, from Flamingo, a specialist in medical supports and braces.
Key Features
- Light ankle joint support while maintaining freedom of movement.
- Even compression around the ankle provides a stable feeling.
- Elastic fabric fits snugly around the ankle when the correct size is chosen.
- Lightweight and may be worn inside ordinary shoes.
How to Use
Before purchasing, measure the ankle circumference and compare with the size chart on the pack. Put the foot through and pull up until positioned over the ankle joint, ensuring the fabric is not folded. Preferably remove while sleeping unless a doctor advises otherwise. Follow the pack's washing instructions.
Who Is It For?
For people needing light ankle support after minor sprains or strain, older people with ankle weakness or instability, and those wanting additional support during walking or light exercise.
Precautions
- The support does not replace medical assessment for acute injuries, suspected fracture or severe swelling.
- It must not be tight enough to cause numbness or skin colour changes. Remove if pain or irritation occurs.
- Do not wear over open wounds or irritated skin.
- People with diabetes or circulation problems should consult a doctor before use.
