Hemadid film-coated tablets are taken orally. Each tablet contains ferrous sulfate 200 mg, in a pack of 120 tablets. This iron medicine is used for anaemia caused by iron deficiency.
Indications
- Anaemia due to dietary iron deficiency or iron loss from the body.
How to Use
For adults: follow the package leaflet or pharmacist's instructions.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to the ingredients, excess iron stores and haemolytic anaemia.
- Active ulcers and intestinal inflammation, repeated blood transfusions or receiving other iron products.
Warnings & Precautions
- According to the reference leaflet, this formulation is not recommended for children or adolescents.
- Tell your doctor if you have had stomach surgery or have difficulty swallowing. Do not chew or suck the tablets or keep them in the mouth, to avoid mouth ulcers.
- Seek medical assessment if a tablet enters the airway while swallowing.
- Tell a pharmacist about antacids, mineral supplements, antibiotics and thyroid medicines, and seek advice during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
