Gyno-Mikozal vaginal cream contains 2% miconazole nitrate, in a 78 g tube. An antifungal that eliminates infection-causing fungi and some associated bacteria.
Indications
- Infections of the vagina and surrounding skin caused by fungi and yeasts such as Candida, with signs including itching, redness and white discharge.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not swallow the cream and wash your hands with soap and water after each use.
- Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to miconazole nitrate or any ingredient.
Warnings & Precautions
- May damage rubber condoms or vaginal barriers and weaken their effectiveness. Consult a doctor about another contraceptive method during treatment.
- Tell your doctor if taking warfarin, oral diabetes medicines or phenytoin.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor before use.
- The partner may also need treatment. Do not allow others to use the same towel to avoid infection transmission.
Common Side Effects
- Very common: headache, local irritation, itching or burning in the vagina or treated area, and discomfort or pain around the vagina.
- Common: menstrual pain, abdominal pain and nausea.
- Stop use and inform a doctor immediately if severe irritation or redness, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, dizziness, wheezing or difficulty breathing occurs.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
