Olfen self-adhesive patches each contain 140 mg diclofenac sodium in 14 g (1% concentration), in a pack of five. Contain a pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine.
Indications
- Local treatment of pain, inflammation and swelling from sprains, dislocations, bruises and muscle strains.
How to Use
- For adults: one patch on the affected area twice daily, morning and evening, after removing the clear film protecting the gel surface.
- Treatment must not exceed 14 days.
- For children: safety has not been systematically tested; follow the leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to diclofenac or any ingredient.
- Allergy to other painkillers and anti-inflammatory medicines, such as acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin).
- On open wounds such as scratches and cuts, or skin affected by eczema.
- The last three months of pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- Must not contact the eyes or mucous membranes.
- Tell a doctor or pharmacist if similar products, such as rheumatism ointments, have previously caused allergic reactions, or if you have other illnesses or allergies or use other medicines.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: as a precaution, use only with an explicit doctor's prescription.
Common Side Effects
- In sensitive patients: itching, redness, swelling or blisters at the application site.
- Very rare: severe skin rash, allergic reactions and increased sensitivity to sunlight.
- Stop use and inform a doctor immediately if severe rash, wheezing, difficulty breathing or facial swelling occurs.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
