Panadol Baby and Infant oral suspension has a strawberry flavour and contains paracetamol 120 mg per 5 ml (24 mg/ml). The 100 ml bottle comes with a measuring cup. It relieves pain and reduces fever.
Indications
- Relief of teething pain, toothache and sore throat.
- Reduction of fever associated with colds, influenza and infectious childhood illnesses such as chickenpox, whooping cough, measles and mumps.
How to Use
- Shake the bottle for at least 10 seconds before use and always use the supplied measuring device.
- For children: follow the package leaflet and consult a pharmacist. Do not give to infants under 2 months of age.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to paracetamol or any ingredient.
- If the child is taking any other medicine containing paracetamol.
- Fructose intolerance.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor before giving it if there are liver or kidney problems, low body weight or malnutrition, or if the child was born prematurely and is under 3 months old.
- Consult a doctor if the child takes metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine or anticoagulants such as warfarin.
- Do not give for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
- Overdose may cause liver failure; seek medical advice immediately even if there are no symptoms.
Common Side Effects
- Side effects are very rare.
- Stop use and tell a doctor immediately if rash, itching, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, skin peeling, mouth ulcers, or unusual bruising or bleeding develops.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
