Pharmatulle dressing from Pharmaplast is a 10 x 10 cm piece of cotton mesh gauze impregnated with white soft paraffin, sterile and individually wrapped. It is placed directly on the wound as a low-adherence contact layer, making dressing changes easier and reducing removal pain. Sold individually.
Key Features
- Cotton gauze with a mesh (leno) weave, impregnated with white soft paraffin.
- Low wound adherence protects new tissue during dressing changes.
- The mesh openings allow exudate through to an absorbent dressing above, preventing it from drying on the wound surface.
- Sterile and individually wrapped for single use.
- 10 x 10 cm suits small to medium wounds and burns.
How to Use
- Wash your hands and clean the wound according to the doctor's or nurse's instructions.
- Open the wrapper and place the gauze directly on the wound.
- Cover with an absorbent dressing and secure with tape or a gauze bandage.
- Change regularly according to exudate and professional guidance. Do not leave for a long time, to prevent sticking to the wound.
Who Is It For?
For minor burns and abrasions, scratches and cuts, skin graft sites and leg ulcers, at home or in healthcare facilities under professional supervision as needed.
Precautions
- Do not use in deep cavity wounds or if allergic to an ingredient.
- May soften surrounding skin if applied to a heavily exuding wound without a sufficient absorbent dressing.
- Do not use if the wrapper is open or damaged.
- Extensive burns or infected wounds require a doctor.
