Roxonin tablets each contain 60 mg loxoprofen, in a pack of 20. A pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and fever-reducing medicine.
Indications
- Pain and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, lower back pain, shoulder periarthritis and toothache.
- Pain and inflammation after surgery, injury or tooth extraction.
- Fever reduction and pain relief in acute upper respiratory tract infections.
How to Use
- For adults with pain and inflammation: one tablet three times daily.
- For fever and pain from upper respiratory tract infections: one tablet as needed, usually no more than twice daily, without exceeding 180 mg daily.
- Avoid taking on an empty stomach.
- Safety in children and adolescents has not been established.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Stomach ulcers, severe blood disorders or severe liver, kidney or heart impairment.
- Allergy to any ingredient, aspirin-induced asthma or late pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- Use cautiously with a history of stomach ulcer, liver, kidney or blood disease, asthma, ulcerative colitis or Crohn's disease, and in older people.
- Avoid combining with other anti-inflammatory painkillers.
- Interacts with warfarin, some diabetes medicines, quinolones, methotrexate, lithium and thiazide diuretics.
- Avoid during breastfeeding. Use during pregnancy only under a doctor's direction.
Common Side Effects
- Stomach discomfort, abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, loss of appetite, oedema, rash and drowsiness.
- Stop and consult a doctor immediately for difficulty breathing, throat swelling, vomiting blood, black stools or severe rash.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
