This piece is Large and belongs to Supporto's range of medical supports, which also includes elbow and wrist supports.
Key Features
- Surrounds the lower back to provide support and a feeling of stability in the lumbar area.
- May help remind you to maintain an upright posture when sitting and standing.
- Easy to put on and remove, and can be worn under clothing.
- Large size, suitable for a waist circumference within the stated size range.
- From a brand specialising in medical supports for joints and the back.
How to Use
Measure your waist at navel level before purchase and compare it with the size chart on the packaging. Position the belt around the lower back with its centre over the lumbar spine, then fasten comfortably so you can breathe and move without excessive pressure. Preferably wear over a thin layer of clothing and remove during sleep and rest unless a specialist advises otherwise.
Who Is It For?
For those needing additional lower-back support while working, driving or standing for long periods, or advised by a doctor or physiotherapist to use a lumbar belt.
Precautions
- The belt provides support rather than treatment. Consult a doctor for persistent pain, an injury or numbness in the legs.
- Do not tighten excessively. Stop use if you feel discomfort or develop skin redness or irritation.
- Consult a doctor before use during pregnancy or if you have a chronic health condition.
- Prolonged reliance on the belt without strengthening exercises may reduce the activity of the back muscles. Follow specialist advice.
