Duphalac oral solution contains lactulose 667 g/litre, equivalent to 0.667 g/ml, in a 300 ml bottle. It is used to relieve constipation and soften stools to make them easier to pass.
Indications
- Constipation with infrequent bowel movements or dry, hard stools.
How to Use
For adults: follow the package leaflet or pharmacist's instructions.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to lactulose or the ingredients, and galactosaemia.
- Gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation, or a risk of perforation.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor if you have unexplained abdominal pain, diabetes or intolerance to some sugars.
- Excessive or chronic use at inappropriate doses may cause diarrhoea and disturbances in body salts.
- Consult a doctor if constipation does not improve after several days or symptoms worsen.
- For children: follow the package leaflet and consult a pharmacist. Laxative use in young children requires medical supervision.
- Lactulose may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding when necessary after consulting a doctor or pharmacist.

Storage
Store at room temperature, not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
