Aerius 5mg coated tablets contain desloratadine 5mg per tablet in a pack of 18. An antihistamine that helps control allergic reactions and their symptoms.
Indications
- Symptoms of allergic rhinitis (such as hay fever or dust-mite allergy) in adults and adolescents from 12 years: sneezing, a runny or itchy nose, an itchy roof of the mouth, and itchy, red or watery eyes.
- Symptoms of urticaria (hives), such as itching and rash.
How to Use
- Adults: one tablet once daily with water, with or without food, swallowed whole.
- A doctor determines the treatment duration according to the allergy type and duration of symptoms.
- Do not double the dose to make up for a missed dose.
- Do not give to children under 12 years.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to desloratadine, any tablet ingredient or loratadine.
- Children under 12 years.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if kidney function is impaired or there is a personal or family history of seizures.
- Use cautiously with alcohol.
- Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding; consult a doctor or pharmacist.
- Contains lactose; consult a doctor if you have an intolerance to some sugars.
- Most people do not feel drowsy, but avoid driving or operating machinery until you know your response to the medicine.
Common Side Effects
- Fatigue, dry mouth and headache.
- Stop use and seek medical advice immediately if a severe allergic reaction develops, such as difficulty breathing, wheezing, itching, hives or swelling.

Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
