Claritine tablets contain loratadine 10 mg in a pack of 10 tablets. Loratadine belongs to the antihistamines, which relieve allergy symptoms by blocking the effects of histamine. It is used to relieve allergic rhinitis and hives.
Indications
- Relief of allergic rhinitis symptoms, such as hay fever: sneezing, a runny or itchy nose, and burning or itching eyes.
- Relief of hives (urticaria), including itching and redness.
How to Use
- For adults: one tablet once daily.
- For patients with severe liver disease, a doctor or pharmacist may recommend taking the recommended dose every other day.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to loratadine or any ingredient of the medicine.
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Children under 6 years or those weighing 30 kg or less.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have liver disease.
- Stop taking it two days before skin allergy tests because it may affect the results.
- Side effects may increase with medicines that affect the liver enzymes responsible for metabolising medicines. Tell the pharmacist about all your medicines.
- It is not expected to cause drowsiness at the recommended dose, but very rarely drowsiness may occur and affect driving.
Common Side Effects
Among the more common side effects in adults are drowsiness, headache, increased appetite and difficulty sleeping.

Store below 30°C and keep out of reach of children.
