Apillerg (APILLERG) Eye Drops combine antazoline hydrochloride and tetrahydrozoline, 10 ml. Relieve allergy symptoms and reduce redness of irritated eyes. Antazoline is an antihistamine; tetrahydrozoline constricts conjunctival blood vessels, reducing irritation and swelling.
Indications
- Non-infectious conjunctivitis caused by irritation.
- Inflammatory allergic conjunctival conditions, including hay-fever and vernal conjunctivitis.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to any drop ingredient.
- Narrow-angle glaucoma.
- Use with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
- Children under two years.
Warnings & Precautions
- Not intended for prolonged use; treatment beyond 2 to 3 days requires a doctor's prescription and monitoring.
- Use cautiously in children and in older people with severe cardiovascular disease, uncontrolled hypertension, hyperthyroidism or diabetes, and with difficulty urinating such as prostate enlargement.
- Not suitable for dry eyes without doctor advice.
- Pregnancy: use only when clearly necessary. Do not use during breastfeeding.
- May cause drowsiness or temporary blurred vision after application; avoid driving or operating machinery until vision returns to normal.
Common Side Effects
- The leaflet does not specify side-effect frequencies. Reported effects include eye burning and stinging, blurred vision, dilated pupils, eye redness, headache, drowsiness and dizziness.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
