Ticanase nasal spray contains fluticasone propionate 0.05%, in one 12 g pack. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid that reduces inflammation, swelling and irritation of the nasal lining, relieving itching, sneezing and a blocked or runny nose.
Indications
- Prevention and treatment of seasonal allergic nasal inflammation, such as hay fever.
- Prevention and treatment of year-round allergic nasal inflammation, such as animal allergy.
How to Use
- Dosage and directions: follow the package leaflet or pharmacist's instructions.
- For nasal use only, avoiding eye contact.
- Do not use in children under 4 years.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to fluticasone propionate or any ingredient.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist before use with previous nasal surgery or a nasal infection.
- Consult a doctor for blurred vision or any other visual disturbance.
- Tell a doctor if taking ritonavir, medicines containing cobicistat or ketoconazole, or using oral or injected corticosteroids long term.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Common Side Effects
- Very common: nosebleeds. Common: headache, an unpleasant taste or smell, and dryness or pain in the nose or throat.
- Seek a doctor's help immediately for wheezing, coughing or breathing difficulty, sudden weakness and dizziness, swelling around the face, mouth or tongue, or a skin rash.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
