Avogain 5% is a topical scalp solution in a spray containing minoxidil 5%, in one pack from Avalon Pharma. It is used for men to treat hereditary hair loss (male-pattern baldness) and helps hair regrowth.
Indications
- Hereditary hair loss in men only.
- Helping prevent further loss and regrow hair.
How to Use
- For adult men: 1 ml (6 sprays) twice daily on a dry scalp in the hair loss area, without exceeding 2 ml per day.
- Results may take two to four months, and new hair may gradually be lost after stopping.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Women, people under 18 years or over 65 years.
- Sudden hair loss or loss of unknown cause, loss caused by medicine treatment, or complete baldness.
- High blood pressure even if untreated, any scalp disease such as psoriasis or sunburn, or a shaved head.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor with heart disease or when taking vasodilating blood pressure medicines.
- Stop and consult a doctor for chest pain, a fast heartbeat, fainting, dizziness or swelling of the hands and feet.
- For the scalp only; avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and wounded skin.
- Exceeding the dose does not speed growth, and swallowing is dangerous.
- Stop use if scalp irritation persists or hair colour or texture changes.
Common Side Effects
- Headache, itching or dermatitis, and excess hair growth.
- Shedding may temporarily increase during the first two to six weeks. If it persists for more than two weeks, stop and consult a doctor.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
