Diclomax Emulgel 1% is for topical skin use and contains diclofenac sodium 1%, in a 50 g pack. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine.
Indications
- Local relief of pain and inflammation.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For external skin use only. Do not swallow.
- Children and adolescents: follow the enclosed leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to diclofenac, preparation ingredients or other anti-inflammatory pain relievers such as aspirin.
- Previous asthma or swelling after aspirin or another anti-inflammatory medicine.
- An active gastrointestinal ulcer.
- The last three months of pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- Speak to a doctor before use if you have asthma, impaired kidney, heart or liver function, a previous ulcer or a tendency to bleed.
- Do not use over large areas or for long periods without medical advice. Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen.
- Do not apply to wounds, burns or eczema. Avoid contact with the eyes or mouth.
- Protect the treated area from direct sunlight. Do not cover with a tight dressing.
- Pregnancy: do not use in the first six months unless recommended by a doctor. Breastfeeding: use only on the recommendation of a doctor or pharmacist.
Common Side Effects
- Local skin reactions such as rash, redness, itching or burning.
- Stop using and tell a doctor immediately for sudden hives, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
