Methycobal tablets contain mecobalamin (methylcobalamin) 500 mcg (0.5 mg) per tablet, in a pack of 30. Its registered ATC code (B03BA05) classifies it among vitamin B12 compounds. It stimulates nucleic acid and protein synthesis in nerves to support nerve fibre regeneration, relieving numbness and pain caused by peripheral nerve injury.
Indications
- Peripheral neuropathy.
How to Use
- For adults: usually one tablet (500 mcg) three times daily. The dose may be adjusted according to age and symptoms under a doctor's guidance.
- If a dose is missed, take it when remembered unless the next dose is nearly due. Do not take two doses together.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- The manufacturer's information lists no specific contraindications, but tell a doctor or pharmacist before use if you have previously had an allergic reaction, such as itching or a rash, to any medicine or food.
Warnings & Precautions

Common Side Effects
- Most common: skin rash, loss of appetite, nausea or vomiting, and diarrhoea. Consult a doctor or pharmacist if any occur.

Store below 25°C, away from light, heat and moisture. Keep out of children's reach.
