Fexotel 120 mg tablets contain fexofenadine hydrochloride 120 mg, in a pack of 14. Fexofenadine is a non-drowsy antihistamine that relieves hay fever symptoms by blocking the effect of histamine released by the body in response to allergens.
Indications
- Relief of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) symptoms in adults and children aged 12 and over: sneezing; an itchy, blocked or runny nose; and itchy, red or watery eyes.
How to Use
- For adults: according to the enclosed leaflet or pharmacist directions.
- Do not use in children under 12.
- If symptoms do not improve, do not take extra tablets; tell a doctor or pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to fexofenadine hydrochloride or any ingredient of the medicine.
- Pregnancy, planning pregnancy or breastfeeding, unless directed by a doctor or pharmacist.
Warnings & Precautions
- When taking medicines for acidity or indigestion containing aluminium or magnesium hydroxide, wait two hours before taking this medicine.
- Tell a doctor or pharmacist about other illnesses and all your medicines, including vitamins and supplements.
- Take care before driving or operating machinery until you know how the medicine affects you.
- Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Common Side Effects
- Less serious effects listed in the leaflet: nausea, headache, tiredness, dizziness and drowsiness. See a doctor if they bother you.
- An excessive amount may cause dizziness, drowsiness or dry mouth; contact a doctor or go to an emergency department straightaway.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
