GYNO-CANDIZOL soft vaginal ovules contain 400 mg of miconazole nitrate per ovule, in a pack of 3. Used to treat vaginal yeast infection (candidiasis).
Indications
- Treatment of vaginal yeast infection in people whose symptoms have previously been confirmed by a doctor as due to this infection.
How to Use
- Dose and directions: according to the enclosed leaflet or a pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not use in girls under 12 except as directed by a doctor.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to miconazole or its products, except after medical advice.
- Non-fungal vaginal infections: it does not treat them or prevent pregnancy, and must not be taken orally.
Warnings & Precautions
- If symptoms occur for the first time, consult a doctor to confirm the diagnosis before use.
- Consult a doctor for fever, back or lower abdominal pain, or foul-smelling discharge.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms do not fully resolve within 7 days, the infection worsens, or it returns within two months.
- Reduces the effectiveness of latex condoms and vaginal diaphragms. Do not rely on them during treatment.
- Consult a doctor or pharmacist if taking oral anticoagulants such as warfarin, because bruising or bleeding may occur.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use only on a doctor's advice and under supervision.
Common Side Effects
- Abdominal cramps, headache, hives and skin rash may occur. Burning, itching or irritation may temporarily increase at the start of treatment.
- Stop use and consult a doctor if a rash, hives, abdominal cramps or new irritation develops.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
