Prof oral suspension contains ibuprofen 100mg per 5ml (20mg/ml), supplied in one bottle. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicine used for pain relief and fever reduction.
Indications
- Mild to moderate pain: muscle pain, headache, earache, sore throat, toothache and back pain.
- Reducing fever and symptoms of colds and flu.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Shake well before measuring a dose. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest necessary period.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to ibuprofen, or allergy or wheezing after aspirin or other anti-inflammatory painkillers.
- A previous stomach ulcer, intestinal bleeding or perforation.
- Taking other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medicines, or severe kidney, heart or liver problems.
- Infants under 3 months and the final three months of pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- May mask signs of infection such as fever and pain; consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Consult a doctor before use if you have asthma, high blood pressure, kidney or liver problems or chickenpox, or take blood thinners or blood pressure medicines.
Common Side Effects
Common effects include dizziness or tiredness, wind, diarrhoea, constipation and headache. Stop use and seek medical help immediately if there is blood in the stool or black stool, bloody vomit or a severe skin rash with blisters.
Storage
Store below 30°C and keep out of reach of children.
