Rofenac Gel 1% (ROFENAC GEL) is for topical application to the skin and contains diclofenac sodium 1%. One 50 g tube. Diclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain reliever.
Indications
- Local relief of pain and inflammation.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For external use only. Do not swallow.
- Do not use in people under 14 years.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to diclofenac, gel ingredients or other anti-inflammatory pain relievers such as aspirin.
- Previous asthma, skin swelling or nasal irritation after aspirin or another anti-inflammatory medicine.
- An active stomach or intestinal ulcer.
- The last three months of pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor before use if you have asthma or allergies, impaired kidney, heart or liver function, a previous ulcer, intestinal inflammation or a tendency to bleed.
- Do not apply over large areas or for long periods, or to wounds, burns or eczema. Keep away from the eyes and mucous membranes, and stop immediately if a rash develops.
- Protect the treated area from direct sunlight and tanning equipment. Do not cover with a tight dressing.
- Pregnancy: do not use in the first six months unless recommended by a doctor. Breastfeeding: use only on the recommendation of a doctor or pharmacist.
Common Side Effects
- Local skin reactions such as rash, redness, itching and burning at the application site.
- Stop using and consult a doctor immediately if sudden hives, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing occurs.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
