ZERTAZINE film-coated tablets contain 10 mg of cetirizine hydrochloride, in a pack of 20 tablets. Cetirizine is an anti-allergy medicine from the antihistamine group.
Indications
- Relieves nasal and eye symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever) and year-round allergic rhinitis.
- Relieves urticaria (hives).
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not give to children under 6 years old because the tablet form does not allow dose adjustment. For older children, follow the enclosed leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms do not improve or worsen after 3 days.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to cetirizine, hydroxyzine, piperazine derivatives or any ingredient.
- Severe kidney disease requiring dialysis.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor if you have kidney impairment, difficulty urinating due to spinal cord, prostate or bladder problems, epilepsy or a risk of seizures.
- Avoiding alcohol during use is recommended. Ask a doctor about stopping before allergy tests.
- Pregnancy: avoid use except when necessary with medical advice. Breastfeeding: use only after consulting a doctor.
Common Side Effects
- Common: drowsiness, headache, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, dry mouth and tiredness.
- Stop use and consult a doctor immediately for a severe allergic reaction, such as swelling of the face or throat.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
