Surgin Pore from Japan's Libatape is a sterile, self-adhesive surgical dressing made from soft nonwoven fabric with a central absorbent pad to cover and protect wounds. This is size No. 80: an 8 × 13cm adhesive strip and a 4 × 9cm pad. Sold individually as one wrapped, single-use dressing.
Key Features
- Sterilised with ethylene oxide gas (EOG) and intended for single use.
- A mesh surrounding the pad reduces sticking to the wound surface during removal.
- A rapidly absorbent pad for wound exudate.
- Soft, flexible nonwoven fabric allows ventilation.
- A medium size suitable for postoperative wounds and cuts.
How to Use
- Wash your hands and clean and dry the wound as directed by the doctor or nurse.
- Open the wrapper and remove the protective paper without touching the pad.
- Place the pad directly over the wound, then press the adhesive edges onto dry skin.
- Change as directed by a doctor or when dirty or wet.
Who Is It For?
For postoperative surgical wounds, cuts and abrasions at home or in a clinic, where visual wound monitoring or water resistance is not required.
Precautions
- Do not use if the wrapper is open or damaged, as sterility is then uncertain.
- The dressing is not water-resistant. Do not reuse.
- Consult a doctor for redness, swelling, discharge or heat around the wound.
- Store away from high heat and moisture.
