A dressing from Surgin Pore is a sterile surgical dressing from Japan's Libatape, size No. 60, made of soft self-adhesive non-woven fabric with a central absorbent pad covering the wound and protecting it against friction and dust. Overall size is 6 × 10 cm and the pad is 3 × 6 cm. Sold individually: one wrapped single-use sheet from the manufacturer's 50-piece box.
Key Features
- Sterilised with ethylene oxide gas (EOG), according to the manufacturer.
- A fine mesh around the pad reduces sticking to the wound surface on removal.
- Soft, flexible, breathable non-woven fabric.
- A small size for short cuts and sutured wounds.
- Individual wrapping makes one piece easy to carry in a first aid kit.
How to Use
- Wash hands, then clean and dry the wound according to the doctor or nurse's instructions.
- Open the wrapper and remove backing paper without touching the pad with your fingers.
- Place the pad directly over the wound and press adhesive edges onto dry skin.
- Change as directed by a doctor or when dirty or wet.
Who Is It For?
For small wounds after minor operations or suturing, cuts and abrasions at home or in a clinic, when direct visual monitoring or a waterproof dressing is not required.
Precautions
- Do not use if the individual wrapper is open or damaged.
- The dressing is not waterproof and must not be reused.
- Consult a doctor for redness, swelling, discharge or heat around the wound.
- Store in a dry place away from heat.
