Surgin Pore Plus is a sterile adhesive surgical dressing in size No. 50, the smallest size in the range, for covering small wounds and stitches after minor procedures and protecting them against friction and contamination. The manufacturer's box contains 50 individually wrapped, sterile dressings.
Key Features
- Sterile and single-use, so each piece is opened only when needed.
- A central absorbent pad covers the wound and absorbs minor exudate.
- A nonwoven adhesive strip allows air to pass around the wound.
- A small size suited to fingers, the face and short wounds, approximately 5×8cm with an approximately 2×4cm pad in the Surgin Pore range.
- Larger sizes from the same range are available for longer wounds.
How to Use
- Wash your hands, clean the wound and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
- Open the wrapper and remove the protective paper without touching the absorbent pad.
- Place the pad directly over the wound and gently press down the adhesive edges to secure it.
- Change the dressing when dirty or wet, or as directed by a doctor or nurse.
Who Is It For?
For covering a clean, small wound or short surgical stitches at home, and for first-aid kits at home, work or in the car.
Precautions
- Do not use if the wrapper is open or damaged, as sterility is lost.
- Do not reuse the dressing after removal.
- Consult a doctor if increasing redness, swelling, pus or warmth develops around the wound, or if it is deep or keeps bleeding.
- Stop use if the adhesive causes skin itching or irritation.
- Consult a pharmacist or doctor if you have diabetes or impaired wound healing.
