Takepron 15 mg hard capsules are taken orally. Each contains 15 mg of lansoprazole; pack of 14 capsules. Lansoprazole reduces stomach acid and is used without a prescription to treat frequent heartburn. It is not intended to relieve heartburn straight away.
Indications
- Treatment of frequent heartburn occurring on two or more days per week.
How to Use
- Dose: follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For those under 18 years: consult a doctor before use.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to lansoprazole.
- Difficulty or pain when swallowing, vomiting blood, or bloody or black stools.
- Heartburn accompanied by dizziness or sweating, or chest or shoulder pain with shortness of breath, may indicate a serious condition.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult your doctor before use if you have liver disease, heartburn lasting more than 3 months, frequent wheezing, unexplained weight loss, nausea, vomiting or stomach pain.
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you take prescription medicines, as they may interact with it.
- Stop use and consult your doctor if you need to use it for more than 14 days or more than once every 4 months.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a healthcare professional before use.
Common Side Effects
- May cause severe skin reactions, such as redness, blisters or rash. Stop use and seek medical help immediately in case of any allergic reaction.
- Stop use and consult your doctor if heartburn persists or worsens, or if diarrhoea, a skin rash or joint pain develops.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
