DECOZAL nasal spray contains 0.1% xylometazoline hydrochloride, in one 10 ml bottle. It helps open and drain the nasal passages by reducing excess secretions and returning swollen blood vessels to their normal size.
Indications
- Nasal congestion and blockage, including blockage from a cold.
- Allergic and recurrent year-round rhinitis, including hay fever.
- Sinusitis.
How to Use
- For adults: according to the enclosed leaflet or a pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days.
- Do not use in children under 12 years old.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to xylometazoline or any ingredient.
- Recent brain or nerve surgery, narrow-angle glaucoma or an enlarged prostate.
- Chronic rhinitis with severe dryness, or an adrenal pheochromocytoma.
- Taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) currently or within the past 14 days.
Warnings & Precautions
- Tell a doctor before use if you have an overactive thyroid, diabetes, heart disease or high blood pressure.
- Prolonged or excessive use may cause congestion to return or worsen.
- May cause sleep disturbance, dizziness or tremor in sensitive individuals.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor before use.
Common Side Effects
- Common: headache, nasal dryness or discomfort, nausea and local irritation after spraying.
- Stop use and seek medical help immediately if an allergic reaction develops, such as difficulty breathing or swallowing, or swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat.
Storage
Do not store above 30°C. Keep out of children's reach.
