Ketonil is an oral syrup containing ketotifen 1 mg in each 5 ml, in a 100 ml pack. Ketotifen is an anti-allergy medicine used to treat allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis.
Indications
- Treatment of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis.
How to Use
- Dose: follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to ketotifen or any medicine ingredient.
- Epilepsy.
- Taking oral diabetes medicines.
- Breastfeeding.
Warnings & Precautions
- May cause drowsiness or slower reactions during the first days. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know its effect on you.
- Increases the effects of sedatives, antihistamines, medicines for depression or anxiety and anticoagulants. Do not drink alcohol while using it.
- Not recommended during pregnancy.
- Do not stop asthma medicines without consulting a doctor.
Common Side Effects
- Common effects: agitation, irritability, insomnia and nervousness.
- Stop use and tell a doctor immediately if a rash occurs with ulcers on the lips, eyes or mouth and fever, or yellowing of the skin and eyes.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
