Azera 100 (AZERA 100 mg) is an enteric-coated-tablet product containing acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) 100 mg per tablet, in a 90-tablet pack. At this dose aspirin inhibits platelet aggregation and is used to prevent blood clots under doctor guidance.
Indications
- Use only under doctor guidance and do not start daily use without medical consultation.
- Prevention of a heart attack or its recurrence in people whose risk a doctor has identified, and treatment of unstable angina.
- Prevention of clots after coronary artery surgery and of strokes after transient ischaemic attacks.
How to Use
- Dose: determined by the doctor, according to the package leaflet or pharmacist guidance.
- Not recommended for people under 18.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines.
- Stomach or duodenal ulcer, or increased tendency to bleed.
- Severe heart, kidney or liver disease.
- Taking methotrexate above 15 mg weekly.
- The last three months of pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
- May cause gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding without preceding symptoms. Consult a doctor immediately for black stools or vomiting blood.
- Consult a doctor if you have asthma or allergies, or take blood thinners or blood-pressure medicines.
- Ibuprofen may reduce its preventive effect. Bleeding increases with corticosteroids and alcohol. Tell your dentist before extraction.
- Pregnancy: do not use in the first six months except as directed by the doctor.
