DERMATIN is a topical skin cream containing 1% clotrimazole, in one tube. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal used for fungal skin infections.
Indications
- Fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and fungal sweat rash.
- Relief of vulval or penile-head irritation accompanying fungal infection.
How to Use
- Dose: follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
- For external use only. Avoid getting it into the eyes or mouth.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to clotrimazole or any cream ingredient.
Warnings & Precautions
- May reduce the effectiveness of latex contraceptives such as condoms and vaginal diaphragms when used on the genital area. Use an alternative method for at least five days after application.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use only under a doctor's supervision. If applied to the nipple area, wash thoroughly before breastfeeding.
- Consult a doctor if there is no improvement after four weeks of treatment or symptoms worsen.
Common Side Effects
- Skin irritation, burning, itching, redness or peeling may occur. Tell a doctor or pharmacist immediately if these occur.
- Stop use and consult a doctor immediately for allergic signs such as a rash, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or swelling of the lips, face or tongue.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
