Gyno-Daktarin (GYNO-DAKTARIN) is a vaginal cream containing miconazole nitrate 2%, in a 78 g tube with 16 applicators. This antifungal eliminates infection-causing fungi and some accompanying bacteria.
Indications
- Infections of the vagina and surrounding skin caused by fungi and yeasts such as Candida, with signs including itching, redness and white discharge.
How to Use
- For vaginal infection: insert one full applicator of cream into the vagina at bedtime daily for 14 days, or two full applicators daily for seven days, as determined by the doctor.
- For skin around the vagina: a thin layer twice daily.
- Complete treatment to its end, including during menstruation.
- Do not swallow the cream and wash your hands with soap and water after each use.
- Not recommended for children and adolescents under 18.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to miconazole nitrate or any ingredient.
Warnings & Precautions
- May damage rubber condoms or vaginal diaphragms and reduce their effectiveness.
- Tell your doctor if taking warfarin, oral diabetes medicines or phenytoin.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: consult a doctor before use.
- The partner may need treatment; do not let others use your towel.
Common Side Effects
- Very common: headache, local irritation, itching or burning in the vagina or treated area, and discomfort or pain around the vagina.
- Common: menstrual pain, abdominal pain and nausea.
- Stop use and tell your doctor immediately for severe irritation, swelling of the face or throat, or difficulty breathing.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
