Miconaz 2% (MICONAZ 2% CREAM) is a cream for topical use on skin, containing miconazole nitrate 2%, in one pack. Used to treat fungal infections of the skin and nails and any accompanying bacterial infection.
Indications
- Fungal infections of skin and nails and accompanying bacterial infections.
- Fungal skin infections of the hands, feet, outer ear, trunk or groin, including athlete's foot, jock itch and skin-fold inflammation.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
- For external skin use only. Wash and thoroughly dry the affected area before applying, and wash your hands afterwards.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to miconazole, similar antifungals or any ingredient of the product.
Warnings & Precautions
- Avoid getting it in the eyes.
- It may cause severe allergic reactions; watch for their signs.
- If taking anticoagulants such as warfarin, stop use and consult a doctor for unexpected bleeding or bruising; INR monitoring is required.
- During pregnancy or breastfeeding, consult a doctor or pharmacist before use.
Common Side Effects
- Burning, irritation, itching or warmth at the application site; skin inflammation or colour change; rash or redness.
- Stop use and seek medical help immediately for swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or an itchy rash (hives).
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
