Lamisil 1% is a topical skin cream containing 1% terbinafine hydrochloride, in one tube. It treats fungal infections and some yeast infections of the skin by attacking and eliminating the fungus or yeast causing the infection.
Indications
- Fungal skin infections.
- Some yeast infections of the skin.
How to Use
- For adults: apply once or twice daily for one to two weeks, depending on the type and location of the infection.
- Clean and dry the affected area thoroughly, then apply a thin layer to the affected skin and surrounding area and rub in gently. Wash your hands after use.
- Not recommended for children.
- Consult your doctor or pharmacist if there is no improvement within two weeks of starting treatment.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to any ingredient in the cream.
Warnings & Precautions
- For external use only. Do not apply to the face and avoid contact with the eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with running water.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: use only under a doctor's direction.
- The infection may return if it is not used regularly or is stopped early.
- Contains benzyl alcohol, which may cause allergic reactions.
Common Side Effects
- Common: skin peeling and itching.
- Stop use and seek medical help immediately if you experience difficulty breathing or swallowing, swelling of the mouth, face, lips or tongue, or severe itching with a rash or blisters.
Storage
Store below 25 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
