Nurofen for Children Strawberry Oral Suspension contains ibuprofen 100 mg per 5 ml, or 20 mg/ml, in one pack. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory pain reliever used to reduce fever and relieve mild to moderate pain.
Indications
- Fever, including fever following vaccination.
- Cold and flu symptoms.
- Mild to moderate pain, including sore throat, teething, toothache, earache and headache.
How to Use
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
- Do not give to infants under 3 months or weighing less than 5 kg.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms last more than 24 hours at ages 3–6 months or 3 days from 6 months.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Previous allergy, including asthma, rash or swelling, to ibuprofen, aspirin or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicines.
- Stomach ulcer, bleeding or perforation, now or previously.
- Severe kidney, heart or liver failure.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor for asthma, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, or dehydration.
- Preferably avoid during chickenpox.
- It may hide signs of infection. Consult a doctor without delay if symptoms continue or worsen.
Common Side Effects
- The most common effects are stomach irritation, such as indigestion and heartburn.
- Stop use and seek medical advice immediately for blood in the stool, black stools or vomiting blood.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
