Opizole topical cream contains clotrimazole 1%, in a 15 g tube. Clotrimazole is an imidazole antifungal used to treat fungal skin infections.
Indications
- Fungal skin infections such as ringworm, athlete's foot and fungal rash associated with sweating.
- Relief of external vulval irritation or irritation of the tip of the penis associated with Candida infection (thrush).
How to Use
- Dose and method: according to the package leaflet or pharmacist guidance.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to clotrimazole or any cream ingredient.
- Treatment of nail or scalp infections.
Warnings & Precautions
- For external use only. Do not swallow. If it gets into the eyes or mouth, rinse immediately with water and consult a doctor.
- It may reduce the effectiveness of latex condoms and diaphragms when applied to the vulva or penis. Use an alternative contraceptive method for at least five days after use.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms persist or worsen.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: inform a doctor before use. If applied to the nipple area, wash it before breastfeeding.
Common Side Effects
- Itching, rash, blisters, burning, discomfort, swelling, irritation, tingling, redness or peeling of the skin may occur after application.
- Stop use and consult a doctor immediately if an allergic reaction occurs, such as a rash, difficulty swallowing or breathing, swelling of the lips, face, throat or tongue, dizziness or fainting.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
