Hyopan oral syrup contains hyoscine butylbromide 5mg per 5ml, supplied in one bottle. It belongs to the antispasmodic medicines that relax cramping muscles of the stomach and intestines.
Indications
- Conditions associated with gastrointestinal cramps, to relieve spasms of the stomach and intestinal muscles.
How to Use
- Dose: follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to hyoscine butylbromide or any ingredient.
- Myasthenia gravis.
- Confirmed or suspected bowel obstruction, intestinal paralysis or severe megacolon.
- Glaucoma, porphyria and an enlarged prostate.
- Fever and a fast heartbeat.
Warnings & Precautions
- Seek medical assessment immediately for unexplained severe abdominal pain that persists or worsens, or is accompanied by fever, vomiting, fainting or blood in the stool.
- Consult a doctor before use if you have heart problems, difficulty urinating or impaired liver or kidney function.
- May interact with antihistamines and some antidepressants.
- Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Consult a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after 3 days. Do not use daily for prolonged periods without identifying the cause of the pain.
Common Side Effects
- Effects that do not usually need treatment include dry mouth, reduced sweating and dry skin.
- Stop use and seek medical help immediately if a severe allergic reaction occurs (widespread rash, swelling and difficulty breathing), or if there is painful eye redness with impaired vision.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
