Lorine syrup contains loratadine 5 mg per 5 ml, in one 100 ml bottle. Loratadine is an antihistamine that relieves hay fever and skin allergy symptoms.
Indications
- Hay fever (allergic rhinitis) symptoms: sneezing; a runny, blocked or irritated nose; and itchy, red or watery eyes.
- Skin allergy symptoms: rash, itching and hives.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not give to children under 2.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to loratadine or any ingredient of the syrup.
- Pregnancy or planning pregnancy.
- Breastfeeding, as loratadine passes into breast milk.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor before use if you have severe liver problems.
- Stop 48 hours before skin allergy tests, as it may affect the results.
- Tell a doctor or pharmacist if you take cimetidine, erythromycin, ketoconazole, fluconazole, quinidine or fluoxetine.
- Avoid excessive alcohol during use. See a doctor if symptoms worsen or do not improve after a few days.
Common Side Effects
- In adults and those over 12: drowsiness, headache, increased appetite and difficulty sleeping. In children aged 2 to 12: headache, nervousness and tiredness.
- Stop use and consult a doctor straightaway if the face, mouth, lips or throat swell.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
