NOSPASM tablets contain hyoscine butylbromide 10 mg in a pack of 30 tablets. They belong to the antispasmodic group.
Indications
- Relief of stomach and intestinal muscle spasms.
- Relief of bladder and urinary tract spasms.
- Relief of irritable bowel syndrome symptoms.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- Do not take continuously for prolonged periods.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to hyoscine butylbromide or any ingredient.
- Glaucoma or myasthenia gravis.
- Confirmed or suspected bowel obstruction, paralytic ileus or severe megacolon.
- Pregnancy, possible pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor if you have a fast heartbeat or heart disease, an overactive thyroid, difficulty urinating such as prostate problems, constipation or fever.
- Seek medical advice immediately if unexplained abdominal pain persists or worsens, or is accompanied by fever, vomiting, blood in the stool or fainting.
- Tell a doctor if you take tricyclic antidepressants, antihistamines, antipsychotics or metoclopramide.
- May cause visual disturbance. Do not drive until your vision returns to normal.
Common Side Effects
- Uncommon side effects may include dry mouth, increased or reduced sweating and a fast heartbeat.
- Stop use and seek medical advice immediately for rash, itching, difficulty breathing, severe dizziness, or a painful red eye with loss of vision.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
