Clotrizole 100 mg vaginal tablets contain clotrimazole 100 mg per tablet, in a pack of 6. Clotrimazole is an azole antifungal used to treat vaginal fungal infection at the site of infection.
Indications
- Treatment of vaginal fungal infection (candidiasis) in those previously diagnosed by a doctor.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For vaginal use only; do not swallow.
- Under 16 or over 60: consult a doctor before use.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to clotrimazole or any ingredient of the tablet.
- During menstruation, as effectiveness may be reduced.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor before use if symptoms occur for the first time, infection has recurred more than twice in 6 months, or there is abnormal bleeding, vaginal sores, lower abdominal pain, fever or foul-smelling discharge.
- May reduce the effectiveness of condoms and rubber diaphragms. Avoid tampons, vaginal douches and spermicides during treatment.
- Tell a doctor if you take tacrolimus or sirolimus, and see a doctor if symptoms do not improve within 7 days.
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding: may be used after informing a doctor and following their instructions.
Common Side Effects
- Local itching, redness, swelling, burning or irritation; discharge or pain; and sometimes nausea.
- Stop use and consult a doctor straightaway if allergy develops, such as a rash, difficulty swallowing or breathing, or facial swelling, or if symptoms worsen.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
