Allerfin 4 mg oral tablets contain chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg per tablet, in a pack of 30 tablets. This antihistamine relieves allergy symptoms and itchy skin.
Indications
- Hay fever and other allergies, such as pet or house-dust allergies.
- Hives, skin allergies and heat rash.
- Allergic reactions to food, food additives or medicines, and insect bites or stings.
How to Use
- Follow the patient leaflet or the pharmacist's instructions.
- For children: follow the patient leaflet and consult a pharmacist.
Do Not Use In The Following Cases
- Allergy to antihistamines or any tablet ingredient.
- Taking MAO inhibitors for depression within the past two weeks.
- Taking other antihistamines, including cold and cough preparations.
Warnings & Precautions
- Consult a doctor before use if you have severe high blood pressure, heart disease, epilepsy, glaucoma, an enlarged prostate, liver or kidney disease, asthma or chronic lung disease.
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
- Do not drive if it causes drowsiness, dizziness or blurred vision.
- Tell your doctor if you take phenytoin or medicines for anxiety or sleep.
- Do not use continuously for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.
- If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before use.
Common Side Effects
- Drowsiness, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, headache, blurred vision, nausea, dry mouth and tiredness.
- Stop use and consult a doctor if allergic symptoms occur, such as hives, facial swelling or difficulty breathing.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
